Massachusetts mom Jillian Lynch was grocery shopping at Trader Joe's when she got a surprising text from her husband Ryan about their family Christmas card photo.
Ryan sent a screenshot of the card featuring their three kids — Kennedy, 11, Danny 10, and Macie, 8 — and the family dog, Boss. Boss joined the family in January, so it was his first Christmas card. And boy, is it a memorable introduction because Boss was ... aroused.
"My soul left my body," Jillian tells TODAY.com. "The room started shaking. I was like, 'There's no way I did this.'"
But, in fact, she did.
Jillian, who happens to be a family photographer, explains that she photographed 90 families for their holiday cards in the month of November alone. "They're my priority. I'm just cranking out photos of families left and right and my own card is just an afterthought," she says.
After noticing her dog's ... ahem, pose ... while creating her family Christmas cards, Jillian solved the issue with simple online editing. But she accidentally uploaded and finalized the card using the unedited video. And not only did she place an initial order — she realized she needed additional cards and ordered more.

The cards were already in envelopes and ready to send by the time Ryan noticed the error.
When Jillian got his text, she responded with a flurry of messages that included, "Noooooooooo," and, "I can't," and "Unwell."
But then she dreamed up a genius solution almost immediately: Jillian ordered snowflake nail stickers to place on the card to cover up the area in question.

"I ordered them right then and there in the frozen food aisle," she laughs.
Unable to keep the story under wraps, Jillian told her best friend who told her husband, and soon everyone was laughing uncontrollably. So Jillian decided to own the mistake and share it on her Instagram page yesterday. The post has over 1 million views so far.
"May your holiday season rise to the occasion ✊," she captioned the edited image.

Did Jillian actually put the (carefully stickered) cards in the mail?
Without missing a beat, she says, "Sure did!"
