Which ‘Love Is Blind’ Couples Have Divorced?

Fourteen couples have said “I do” on the reality show. Six of them later divorced.

For nearly six years, Netflix has been asking the same question with each new season of its hit reality dating show: “Is love blind?” So far, the results have been mixed.

“Love Is Blind” debuted in February 2020, and since then nine seasons have aired just in the United States, with multiple spinoff versions popping up all over the world. On the flagship series, every season — with the exception of the recent controversial Season 9 finale — has ended with at least one couple saying “I do.” But out of the 14 pairs who chose to get married at the end of the experiment, six of them have separated after the show.

Seasons 1 and 4 now remain the only two “Love Is Blind” seasons with more than one success story.

Read on to find out which “Love Is Blind” couples are no longer together and the reasons for their splits.

Season 2

After getting engaged and married in Season 2 of “Love Is Blind,” which aired in February 2022, Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson called it quits later that year.

In August 2022, TODAY.com obtained documents confirming that Ruhl filed for divorce. Ruhl and Thompson also both shared public statements that followed the release of the Season 2 “After the Altar” special.

Ruhl wrote in her statement, “It has taken some time to publicly speak about my marriage ending, as emotions are still raw. However, I will always appreciate those who have followed my journey and continue to support me throughout this entire experience.”

Thompson said, “Everyone perceives and experiences grief differently when a relationship ends, let alone the loss of a marriage in the public eye. I’m working through my own mental and emotional challenges to overcome feelings of anxiety and depression.”

About a year later, the two discussed the unraveling of their marriage on the “Eyes Wide Open with Nick Thompson” podcast.

Jarrette Jones and Iyanna McNeely

The other Season 2 stars who announced they had separated months after the finale aired were Jarette Jones and Iyanna McNeely.

Jones and McNeely confirmed they were going their separate ways in August 2022, too. They told fans in a joint statement shared on Instagram that has since been deleted, “While we have love for each other, our lives are going in different directions, and that’s okay. Coming to this decision was far from easy and we will always wish each other the absolute best.”

Earlier this year, Jones opened up about their divorce and said he didn’t believe they “made the best decision” to get married on the show. He added that over time they realized they weren’t compatible.

Meanwhile, McNeely revealed on Instagram in December 2024 that she is engaged. In October, she celebrated the couple’s anniversary and shared that their wedding is fast approaching.

“Holy smokes… it’s our anniversary. My longest and most meaningful relationship,” she captioned a video that showed them preparing for their big day. “This love has been such a breath of fresh air… like wrapping yourself in warm towels straight from the dryer.”

She added, “Just three months until we’re officially bound for life, and what an absolute joy that will be.”

Alexa Alfia and Brennon Lemieux wedded in Season 3 of “Love Is Blind,” which was released in October 2022.

They welcomed a baby girl together, Vienna Ziva, on July 31, 2024. They announced her birth on Instagram beside photos of the three of them bonding. “She has mommy’s hair and daddy’s dimples and we couldn’t be more in love,” they said in a joint statement.

As recently as October 31, they were sharing adorable videos of them enjoying life as a family of three. But on Dec. 3, Alfia revealed she and Lemieux are no longer together.

“After much reflection and many heartfelt conversations, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage. This choice was not made lightly, and it comes with a great deal of care, respect, and appreciation for the time we’ve shared,” she began in a lengthy statement. “We entered this relationship with love and optimism, and we leave it with gratitude for the experiences that shaped us and the growth we each gained along the way.”

She continued, “While our journey as a married couple is coming to an end, we remain supportive of one another, devoted to our daughter, and committed to navigating this transition with compassion.”

Alfia asked for privacy as the two prioritize raising their daughter.

Lemieux has not publicly commented on their split as of Dec. 5.

The second couple from Season 3 who got married, Colleen Reed and Matt Bolton, confirmed earlier this year that they are divorcing.

In May, they uploaded a joint statement to Instagram that said they were moving forward on separate paths. “We’ve been separated for some time now and have been doing our best to work through everything privately and with care,” they wrote. “This was an incredibly difficult decision, not one we made lightly. It came with a lot of thought and it’s been an emotional process for both of us.”

Reed also provided an additional statement to TODAY.com about their separation. “I loved being married to Matt. This has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. We still care about each other, and we’re doing our best to move forward as friends,” she shared.

Season 5

Lydia Velez Gonzalez and James “Milton” Johnson IV joined the list of “Love Is Blind” couples who broke up in 2025 when Gonzalez revealed earlier this year that they were divorcing after three years of marriage.

She confirmed their split during an appearance on the “What’s the Reality?” podcast. She provided host and fellow “Love Is Blind” alum Amber Desiree “A.D.” Smith with a detailed timeline of when things started to go wrong.

“I just started feeling like I was losing my spark,” she said about issues appearing in their relationship. “It was just things like that kept, like, making me feel small.”

Gonzalez added that she didn’t think their age gap played a role in their divorce.

“I think it was a matter of emotional availability and maturity, support and communication. Maybe the internet was right. Maybe he wasn’t ready for marriage. I think he wanted to be ready for marriage, but I don’t really think that he was ready to be a husband,” she explained.

Johnson has not commented on their separation. However, he did share a life update in November. He said he will soon graduate with a business degree from Rice University.

“Just one month left until graduation!” he wrote on Instagram. “Grateful for every lesson, late night, and friendship along the way. Can’t wait to walk the stage with my incredible cohort.”

Season 7

Tyler Francis and Ashley Adionser

Tyler Francis and Ashley Adionser’s romance was short-lived. After tying the knot in Season 7, which ended in October 2024, she confirmed in a statement sent to TODAY.com in January 2025 that the two were divorcing.

“After much reflection, I want to share that Tyler and I have been separated for several weeks and have now made the difficult decision to end our marriage,” she wrote. “While I had hoped for mutual understanding and transparency in our relationship, it has become clear that our paths are no longer aligned, making it impossible for me to continue in this marriage.”

She added, “This was not a decision I made lightly, but one I know is necessary for my own growth and peace. While this chapter is ending, I will always hold respect for the time and love we shared. I kindly ask for privacy during this deeply personal time as I focus on healing and building a new future. Thank you for your understanding and support.”

The couple were involved in a scandal that played out on and off the show as Francis was at the center of a paternity controversy.

Francis addressed his separation from Adionser on his Instagram story in January.

“As many of you may have seen, Ashley has shared the news of our decision to end our marriage. This has been an incredibly difficult and emotional process for both of us, and it is one we have approached with great care and respect for one another,” he wrote at the time according to E! News.

Francis continued, “I take full accountability for my role in the difficulties we faced and I respect Ashley’s decision to move forward in a way that prioritizes her peace and happiness.”

When Adionser commented on their divorce during an appearance on the “What’s the Reality?” podcast in May, she became emotional.

“I was looking at this man like, ‘Who are you?’” she said about the paternity scandal. “It was so dark, it was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in my actual life.”

While she said she questions if Francis ever loved her, she said their connection was real to her.
