This recipe uses my staple cranberry syrup. Using one syrup for a variety of cocktails helps you save time. Make a large batch and store in the fridge for impromptu holiday celebrations. I like to use reposado tequila in this cocktail because the barrel aging offers some spice notes that taste great in this cocktail.
Technique tip: Chill the margarita in the fridge before guests come over so the ice doesn't melt too quickly when serving.
Swap option: For an upgrade, use rosemary sprigs to skewer the garnishes.
