Cue the spotlight on Hollywood: Nominations for the 83rd annual Golden Globe Awards are here.
Marlon Wayans and Skye P. Marshall announced the nominees live beginning at 8:15 a.m. ET. Viewers could stream on platforms of CBS — where the Golden Globes will be broadcast in January — including YouTube and TikTok channels.
“One Battle After Another” led all movies with nine nominations, while “Sentimental Value” picked up eight and "Sinners" collected seven. On the television side, "The White Lotus" set the pace with six nominations and "Adolescence" scored five. “Only Murders in the Building” and “Severance” each notched four.
Twenty-seven performers were recognized with their first Golden Globe nomination, while Amanda Seyfried, Jacob Elordi, and Jeremy Allen White each snagged multiple nominations, with all of them earning one nomination for their work in TV and another in film.
Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande were each nominated in 2025 for their work in last year’s “Wicked,” and were both recognized this year for the sequel, “Wicked: For Good,” giving them the rarity of co-stars picking up nominations in back-to-back years for playing the same roles in a franchise.
On the TV side, “The Pitt,” which won five Emmy Awards earlier this year — including the big prize, best drama — is primed to make some noise at the Golden Globes. “The Studio,” “Severance” and “Adolescence” — each of which also won Emmys earlier this year — are lined up as big players, as well.
This year’s Golden Globes will also feature a new wrinkle, with a best podcast award handed out for the first time.
The Golden Globes will air live Sunday, Jan. 11, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. It will also stream on Paramount+.
Nikki Glaser, who hosted the 2025 ceremony, will return to emcee the event again.
On Jan. 8 at 8 p.m. ET, CBS will also broadcast the premiere of “Golden Eve,” a primetime special honoring Helen Mirren, who’s receiving the Cecil B. DeMille Award for her work in film this year, and Sarah Jessica Parker, who’s earning the Carol Burnett Award saluting her work in television.
“Golden Eve” will also stream on Paramount+.
Golden Globe 2026 nominations will be announced at 8:15 a.m. ET. Check back for updates.
