Chef notes
I love simple and delicious sparkling wine cocktails during the holiday. This one in particular lets me use leftover ingredients I have from the holidays such as cranberries or cranberry sauce. You can even use that traditional canned cranberry jelly — just make sure to add a couple of spices and some fresh orange zests to make it pop with flavor.
Technique tip: I use a blender to break up the cranberries into smaller pieces so more of the cranberry is in the recipe.
Swap option: Take advantage of leftover cranberry sauce from Thanksgiving! Combine 1 cup of water with 1½ cups of cranberry syrup. Heat in a saucepan and stir until it is the texture you want. This cranberry syrup is perfect for making seasonal nonalcoholic cocktails as well. Just swap the sparkling wine or Champagne for sparkling apple cider.
